After finishing off tremulus, we’re looking to do a pulp-era fighting science campaign. I’ve come up with a couple ideas:
- Archie “Psmith” Smith - (the p is silent, but its so wizard!) Archie was just a library assistant at Miskatonic University before the Event. Months later, when he came to his senses, he discovered his body had not been catatonic but instead traveled the world on some mysterious errand. Long story short - alien entities cast their consciousness into his body from across space and time to use him to enact their will on this world. Eventually he comes to a truce with them by agreeing to help preserve humanity. The alien entities want to destroy the world but they don’t want anyone else to before they do it millennium in the future. (Kind of a Shazam setup where he’s either a plucky teen or otherworldly ubermensch)
- Himmelstürmer - A Hitler Youth issued experimental wargear and jetpack to commit lightning raids against the Russians at the heigh of the war. High ideals of the Fatherland crumbled immediately upon seeing war atrocities. He’s flown the coup with the ODESSA network hot on his heels (in a post-war era). Years later, he’s matured and now works along side prominent Nazi hunters to stop mad science spawned by nazi tech in the wrong hands.
- The Nevermen - A trio of scientists working to unlock the potential of U-rays suffered a terrible accident. Over time they’ve strangely started to look like a single individual. Now they possess the bizarre ability to share and exchange their mind and body parts with those of their research team. An invaluable talent when one member is in the field, another researching, and a final one experimenting.
