I’m definitely no expert. I’m largely self-taught. I use a lot of shortcuts and cheats to accomplish my art.
Do lots of sketching, really rough lines attempting to capture the feel, motion, and proportions of humans. Then advance on to actual lineart. Attend local life-drawing studios. Usually for 15$ or so you get to have a live model pose so you can work on proportions and body lines and see how muscles move.
I use a Wacom Companion and Manga Studio Ex for the last year. Prior to that I used a really old wacom grapphire. So it depends on your budget. Most of my art was done with a 50$ tablet. The software is more of a “what works for you” thing. I’ve gone from Painter to Paint Tool Sai to Manga Studio. Each was okay for the time but then I’d find a new toy in another one.
Rebloggin’ stuff on the wrong blog >_>
Its a sad day for gaming when the Steam sales come and go and I haven’t bought any new games…
My brain is not work.
Five days of frantic studying, reading textbooks, watching tedious online classes, all while melting in summer heat.
All comes down to then next four hours.
I’d enjoy watching someone erotically count from 1 to 100 in ASL.
Ford Tillinghast thought the illustrations and diagrams in the old battered book he found in Grandpa’s attic were edgy and cool. So cool that he got a couple tattooed.
Then the weird visions started. He could see Them, the Others, ignored and trapped within a ghostly overlay of our world. Hungry, lonely, and indescribable. All too quickly he discovered they were also horny… and he’d just etched sigils from a copy of The Laws of Ruin all over his body.
Permanently.

Invisible sex with alien entities anywhere and everywhere all of the time? Check.
Idea is a combo of reading Lovecraft’s “From Beyond” and a short description of Las Regias de Ruina included in Nate Pedersen’s “The Starry Wisdom Library” (which is a great book for Lovecraftian bibliophiles and book arts folk).
Is there a word for love/lust towards the Other (not otherkin, but “that which is different than me, us, and we”)?
Mad Max: Fury Road
+ Mobile Suit Gundam (or one of its many children)
= something I would watch
No drawing for a while. The arm is back at it, worse than before. Doing some tests in two weeks and seeking a second opinion after that.
Where’s my option for replacing the whole damn thing with a robot arm?!
Bastards at Kentucky Route Zero released a teaser for the next episode’s sountrack. I enjoy those games as much for the music as for the game play.
Sweet! They is never enough art of boys in bondage out there. You’re participating in the public good :D
I think I have done some of my best work over the course of this last year.
It might not be as popular as past material, but I think my art finally achieved a level I’m smugly proud of. In spite of my continually bitching.
About 10 minutes into the show Gore Vidal: The United States of Amnesia (currently on Netflix and Amazon Prime) he talks about going to prep academy and mentions finding someone who was everything he wasn’t.
Aww - Gore Vidal’s wistful look when he talks about his teenage fling at prep school (who would die over Iwo Jima).
Surrenderella.
If I wasn’t already into pony play, Scathach would bring me around. :p
Also tempted to update my commission page to include “inking other people’s sketches.”
You’re thinking of the Trout of Doubt.
I ate the salmon of knowledge.
Figuring out how to draw water drizzling down bodies in the shower is making me seriously reconsider my life choices.
I really want to play tabletop Numenara… This game world is too cool.
Not hyped for the pc game though.
^This :D
Drawing a thing does not equate to doing a thing.
I am a gog among men.
Continuing to prove what an inept leader I am in The Banner Saga 2. The art is all so pretty that I don’t feel bad my people are starving to death.
Its kind of moved into the graveyard at this point >_>
I didn’t end up liking the pose. The idea is great but maybe with a different approach.

I think I answer this one once a month :p
A lot of what I draw is fanciful.
I mean, how frequently do you think the opportunity for having a pillow boy comes up? Where do you even go to have one created? And that’s a pretty major life commitment to both people involved (someone losing limbs and someone who will have to take care of their every need forever).
There is a pretty clear distinction between what I do personally and what I draw. The two aren’t parallel or mutually exclusive. This is my happy-place where I draw whatever comes to mind.
I do like climax control/chastity a lot. Hence why it appears subtly in most of my drawings. Climax control is harder to present in novel situations.
I opened them up about six months ago and got no interest at all. Which is hilarious considering how often I get asked to do them :p
Folk want commissions, but they don’t want to pay my outrageous fees.
Yup.
However, pup pic has to wait impatiently by the table while I draw Otep Shamaya >_>
Oh, hello new Otep album…
Grayson is my name of the night.
I really like Boards of Canada.
I’m sure there’s a factory outlet store for them. Somewhere you can buy them online.
If I search far enough, I’ll find one…
After finishing off tremulus, we’re looking to do a pulp-era fighting science campaign. I’ve come up with a couple ideas:
I complain about not finishing pics and then I finish one. I’m so happy XD Its been obsessively eating on my mind…
Next pic has been hailed as my “most artistically mature pic yet.” Complete with background.
I’m going to try writing up a healthy story snippet to go with it.
Wrapped up our second tremulus campaign. My time-travelling Ian Malcom character faded out once we’d saved the future… Its a boring rules system, but it sets the pieces in place for a great story.
Sounding like Numenera is next on the list of games. I’ve wanted to play it for ages, but I’m probably going to be running it instead to take my sweet revenge on the DM for this Rise of Tiamat.
