I spoke too soon. Looks like some are still getting through =/
This is a deal breaker, tumblr…

Something about the phrase “fucktoy torture bag” is kinda hot… I don’t think it would fit on a collar tag, but I’m sure you could brand it somewhere.
I thought I was going to finish my bendy boy picture tonight but Kentucky Route Zero 4 was unexpectedly released today.
Priorities.
I’ve been told by three people now that I am Hank the octopus in Finding Dory.
As of now, we will be experiencing a long downtime. We’ve spoken to the techs who have been trying their best to fix what the hacker broke and the bad news is that the hacker managed to break their way in to the server and corrupt/delete large portions of the database. Y-gallery is nothing more than an empty page and the database has been lost. This means all information and data that everyone has uploaded over the years has been lost.
We are extrememly sorry and devestated that this has happened, but the good news is that we will not let this hacker win. We will be pushing forward with our plans to release version 2.0 to you as soon as possible. It will be a fresh start for us all, and even though our information and data has been lost, we know that we have a great community in y!Gallery! We can and will rebuild better and stronger.
Thanks to all our developers and techs for trying their hardest to recover the information. This hacker was a thorough one. We will be implementing many new security features and practices server side to prevent this happening in the future.
PLEASE NOTE: no confidential information was leaked that we know of. This appears to just be an attack on y-gallery as a whole and not on its users.
We apologize most deeply for the inconvenience and thank you all for your continued patience as we try our hardest to rebuild from this. As always, we will continue to keep you updated with any news and progress on yG2.
Sad face.
I haven’t posted on y-gallery for some time. But it was pretty formative for my kinks, meeting many life-long friends, learning to draw, and getting a lot of positive feedback from fans.
I’m glad they plan to bounce back, but its sad to think of all the lost conversations, art, and fiction.
That does mean that all of my ugly early shota art is gone for good. So maybe not a total loss.
I’m definitely no expert. I’m largely self-taught. I use a lot of shortcuts and cheats to accomplish my art.
Do lots of sketching, really rough lines attempting to capture the feel, motion, and proportions of humans. Then advance on to actual lineart. Attend local life-drawing studios. Usually for 15$ or so you get to have a live model pose so you can work on proportions and body lines and see how muscles move.
I use a Wacom Companion and Manga Studio Ex for the last year. Prior to that I used a really old wacom grapphire. So it depends on your budget. Most of my art was done with a 50$ tablet. The software is more of a “what works for you” thing. I’ve gone from Painter to Paint Tool Sai to Manga Studio. Each was okay for the time but then I’d find a new toy in another one.
Rebloggin’ stuff on the wrong blog >_>
Its a sad day for gaming when the Steam sales come and go and I haven’t bought any new games…
